My Story, My Goal is part of the Our City project that features local reporting on global issues. Our City is the second anchor project of the Knight Center for International Media at the University of Miami School of Communication. Under the leadership of Rich Beckman, Knight Chair in Visual Journalism, the Center began developing relationships with journalism schools around the world. Multimedia training workshops were held for journalism professors throughout Asia and Africa. These professors then trained their students who collaborated with students from Miami to each report on one of the Millennium Development Goals for this project.
